After our last short trip to Copenhagen at New Year’s Eve 2011, we wished to come back really soon. Now after more than two years I accidentally found a nice little camp site in the north of the city and we decided to do a camping trip during the easter holidays. As we left home after work on holy thursday we weren’t in the mood to drive the complete distance. So we had a little stopover at the yacht harbour in Kolding. After a relaxing sleep between boats in their winter storage we finished our journey the next day.
The camp site was actually built on the disused Charlottenlund Fort, only 8km from the city center. It’s located directly at the sea and we could ride our bikes on the great cycleways to the city.
But the first day we drove up north with our car – to the great Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. I always wanted to see this magical place and I can’t wait to come back one day, when it’s less crowded. We loved to explore the beautiful buildings and garden.
On our way back we found the pretty Skovshoved Petrol Station, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1936.
