Some weeks ago we wanted to explore the area around Hamburg-Wilhelmburg by bike which is really recommendable. It begins with the crossing of the Elbe through the old tunnel. Riding through the free harbor next to huge trucks until we reached the district of Wilhelmsburg. Passing the original Location of the movie Soul Kitchen and the area of Dockville Festival which takes place every august (I am already looking forward to it). After some kilometers there were only green meadows, dikes and vegetable farmers. I love that the harbor, nature, industry and neighborhoods are so close together. And the city is not far away. Back home we checked the distance and we found out we rode for 40 km – wow!
